Our service department has ABYC certified technicians with years of knowledge and experience. We work on gas, diesel, and outboard engines – everything from engine repowering to annual maintenance.

ELECTRICAL SERVICES

We are trained in all aspects of your boat’s electrical systems. We can troubleshoot problems, install new systems, repair or upgrade the old.

MARINE ELECTRONICS

We install, trouble shoot and update high tech electrical systems.  Whether a small repair or a major upgrade, we service GPS, chart plotters, radar, VHF, on board entertainment systems, auto pilot, depth sounders, fish finders, full AC/DC systems inverters and charging systems, on board computer systems and more.

CARPENTRY

Our highly-skilled team has a fully-stocked carpentry shop to tackle any woodworking project for your boat.

PAINT AND VARNISH

Our team of professionals will make your boat’s brightwork shine. Whether it’s a Dark Harbor 20 that needs maintenance coats or a new construction that needs build up coats, our team can do it all. We also are able to Awlgrip paint a hull or match the paint on a repair.

FIBERGLASS & GELCOAT

Dark Harbor Boat Yard has year-round experts in fiberglass and gelcoat repair.  Our knowledgeable and experienced crew can build or repair a damaged area returning it to the original appearance and function.

POLISHING, WAX AND CLEANING

It’s important to buff, polish and wax your boat at least once a year to protect it’s general appearance keep surfaces in the best possible shape. We will wash, compound and wax your deck and topsides, and polish stainless steel and brass. We clean the hull removing barnacles and marine growth to keep your boat operating at maximum speed, fuel efficiency, and handling well without vibrations. With our professional cleaning, your bout will look like new again.

SAILBOAT RIGGING SERVICES

Want your sail boat race-ready? We can tune the rig to get the most out of your boat and take care of all your rigging needs.

Our rigging services include:
